Hello,

A huge thanks to everyone on the OLF for helping this newbie complete his first build. What a lot of learning and a lot of work! Worth every second though and I'm already working on new projects.

Plan:
- 0028-VS plan from Georgia Luthier Supply.

Materials:
- Zebrawood back and sides. I bought the material from my local woodshop and resawed.
- Sitka Spruce top. I bought a pile of top wood from a luthier in Seattle. This is one of the sets from that purchase.
- Ebony binding. Ebony and Maple purfling. Ebony Fretboard.
- Gotoh tuners.
- L.R. Baggs Lyric pickup

Finish:
- Z-Poxy pore fill following Todd Stock's videos on youtube.
- Endurovar Gloss on the body, Endurovar Satin on the neck. Much tutoring here from Mike O'Melia
- Buffed using Brian Howard's Menzerna schedule.

Sound:
- https://soundcloud.com/tofu-x-labs/fingerstyle-blues
(Apologies for my poor playing :))

This next part is going to sound like I'm accepting an Academy Award, but I seriously want to thank these folks for their help in my continuing questions and general noobness.

Of course a huge thanks to Lance for the site and the opportunity to participate.

Can't wait to finish the next one!!!

She's a looker and very, very well done my friend. When I was still building the most exciting times (Lutherie...) for me was when I was rolling out a new one and posting pics and the descriptions on the OLF.

You should be very proud and as our friends Mike and Alex said this is exceptionally well done!

Looks good, can't beat that first build feeling!
Great tone also, especially the fingerstyle one!

Your first? No kidding?
My friend, if my first had been this good I'd be on top of the world. My first was NOT anywhere near this good. You have every reason to be proud and satisfied.

At this point, I can only ask: What are you going to show us next time?........ (Written in good humor and I hope you accept it that way.)

Thanks everyone for the kind feedback. I'm happy with the way it turned out. I was happy for a whole 24 hours until I refocused onto the next one. :) I have a Purpleheart, also a 00, that just needs some finish work and a setup. I'll probably get that one done inside the next month. I've also started a Bocote parlor. I'm really hopeful I can have that one ready for Hesh's setup class in June!!

Thanks again. I'll be doing some research here on a few things I didn't particularly like the way they turned out. If I can't find answers I'll post a new topic.

Really do thank everyone for the help!
